Waka Waka-Shakira This time for Africa Listen and Dowload video:Fifa 2010

Well I’m a bit confused, I thought K’naan’s Waving the Flag was the song. Waka Waka is co-written and performed by Shakira and I believe that Wake Waka means (This Time for Africa).Singers age 33, youngest is the anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2010! The circuit fusion band Freshlyground from South Africa.

And although she is backed by South African band Freshlyground, it is just weird for me that the song for the 2010 World Cup South Africa should be sung by a Colombian Woman. And what’s with the opening line? “You’re a good soldier”…

Shakira performed “Waka Waka” at the 2010 World Cup Opening Ceremony (video below) and will have the honor to perform it again at the Closing Ceremony before the World Cup Final at Johannesburg Soccer City Stadium in South Africa on July 11.Shakira, wearing an animal print, waka waka-ed — the anthem and dance of theWorld Cup . The turbaned Tinariwen brought the sounds of Mali’s desert nomads to the mix. The crowd swayed to Keys, and did the toyi-toyi — the protest dance of the apartheid era — to hometown favorites BLK JKS.
