Baby Gaga video: Inappropriate, creepy or just fun?

Lady Gaga has inspired a Little Monster, whose YouTube video tribute has sparked some controversy.

Baby Gaga, 3-year-old Keira Ladrow, stars in a video spoof of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” wearing makeup and handcuffs, dancing and then sitting in the foreground as adult female dancers are seen behind her.

In just five days, the video went viral, but some are critizicing it, calling it “creepy” or “inappropriate.” Psychotherapist Heide Banks cautions the toddler’s mom Heidi Ladrow that this could be damaging to little Keira down the line.

The elder banks insists that the video was made purely out of fun, that her daughter was under no stress or pressure to perform and that she was comfortable with Jake Wilson, who directed the video.

“It’s a spoof on Lady Gaga so it had to be a little outrageous because Lady Gaga’s videos are outrageous,” explains Ladrow on “The Early Show.” “So basically it was just mocking that whole process … This went gangbusters quite quickly. This was a little project we put together as a spoof, as fun for our friends and family. I had no idea this was going to get as large as it was.”

As far as if this would damage her child, Ladrow adds, “She’s a well-adjusted child. At 3 she’s very self-actualized.”

Although Ladrow claims that it’s “too late” to take down the video, it has been made “private” on YouTube.
